V Fenders

V fenders are a specific type of rubber fender that are designed with a V-shaped groove along the length of the fender. This groove helps to distribute the pressure evenly across the surface of the fender and provides a better grip for the vessel during docking.

V Fenders are a type of boat fender that is commonly used to protect the hulls of boats and other vessels. They are designed to absorb the kinetic energy created when a vessel approaches a quay, dock, or other mooring structure.

The V-shape of these fenders allows them to deflect impacts, reducing the damage to both the vessel and the dock. The V fenders are typically made from high-quality natural rubber and are highly resistant to abrasion, weather, and UV radiation. They are also easy to install and maintain, making them a popular choice for many marine applications.

One of the main advantages of V fenders is their high energy absorption capacity. They can absorb a significant amount of kinetic energy during an impact, which helps to protect both the vessel and the quay. Additionally, these fenders are durable and long-lasting, which makes them a cost-effective solution for boat owners and operators.

Overall, V fenders are an effective and reliable option for protecting boats and other vessels from collision damage. They are widely used in marinas, ports, and other marine environments where vessels need to be moored safely and securely.

Characteristics

1. Energy Absorption

V fenders are designed to absorb the kinetic energy created during an impact. They can absorb a significant amount of energy, reducing the impact on both the vessel and the structure it is mooring against.

2. Durable

They are made from high-quality rubber materials that are highly resistant to abrasion, corrosion, weather, and UV radiation. This makes them durable and long-lasting, with a lifespan of up to 25 years.

3. V-shaped Design

The V-shaped design of the fenders allows for effective deflection of impacts, reducing the damage to both the vessel and the dock. The shape also allows for greater flexibility and adjustability in the fendering system.

4. Easy Installation

V fenders are easy to install and can be customized to fit the specific requirements of the vessel and the mooring structure. They are also easy to maintain, with low maintenance requirements.

5. Cost-effective

They have a low initial cost and require minimal replacement and maintenance costs, making them a cost-effective option for boat owners and operators.

Rubber Properties

Hongruntong Rubber compounds are designed for long life in marine environments. All fenders are made using high quality natural and/or synthetic rubber compounds, formulated for high performance and reliability.

Rubber compounds include additives to resist the effects of ozone and ultra-violet light. The vulcanisation process (temperature, pressure and time) is strictly controlled to ensure a homogenous product with excellent physical properties and rubber to metal bond strengths.

► Marine grade compounds

► Natural and/or synthetic

► Resists ozone and UV

► Excellent bond strengths

► Fully homogeneous

► Fully recyclable

Hongruntong moulded rubber fender compounds also comply to ASTM D 2000 callouts:
