Ribbed Pneumatic Fender
A ribbed pneumatic fender is a type of marine fender that is designed to absorb and distribute impact forces when ships come in contact with dock walls or other structures. The fender is made up of an inner rubber bladder, which is surrounded by an outer layer of nylon cord fabric that is ribbed to provide additional strength and protection. When a ship collides with the fender, the air inside the bladder is compressed, absorbing the impact and dispersing the energy across the ribbed surface. Ribbed pneumatic fenders are commonly used in port facilities and offshore moorings, as they are highly effective at protecting vessels and structures from damage.
