The pneumatic sling fender is basically the same fender, but without the "netting". The sling type fenders have a special outer rubber double-layered cover, which consists of a single cover and an extra tyre cord layer, resulting in better resistance to operational damages. At each end of the sling type fender, a flange with shackle and swivel is mounted to which a chain or cable can be attached.

Pneumatic Sling Fenders are a type of pneumatic fender that have a unique design consisting of a cylindrical rubber body that is suspended by a series of ropes or slings. The ropes are attached to the ends of the fender and are used to secure it to a dock or another vessel. When a vessel comes into contact with the fender, the compressed air inside the fender is displaced, which absorbs the impact and reduces the risk of damage to the vessel or the dock. 

The ISO17357-1:2014 compliant pneumatic sling fenders come without the Chain-Tyre-Net and ring shackles. A lifting eye is fitted to each end and the fender is slung by a chain or wire rope. Sling type fenders are available across the whole size range.
